EncryptOnClick makes Securing windows Files/Folders easier than ever !

Encrypt On ClickHave you ever wanted to lock down a few files behind passwords, but don’t want to jump into a full-featured encryption system with multiple keys, virtual drives and whatnot? Free encryption utility EncryptOnClick is a dead-simple utility that gets the job done. Open the program, choose a file or folder to secure, and type in your password. The files or folder will get an encrypted icon, and you’ll be asked for the password to open them—and that’s it, at least with the freeware version. The app uses 256-bit AES encryption, so for hiding stuff from the average snooper, it’s a tight and light solution. EncryptOnClick is a free download for Windows systems only.

CRP Keeps your important Applications Running

Windows only: Free application CRP (Control Running Programs) performs two related but separate functions: First, it keeps important applications running no matter what, so if a program unexpectedly shuts down, CRP fires it back up. Second, it sets a user-defined limit on the number of running instances of an application. If you’ve ever unknowingly shut down your IM application, for example, but you need to always be available for your job, the automatic relaunching of specified apps can come in really handy. The second bit of functionality—limiting instances of an application—can be useful when you launch an application intending to restore the currently running instance but you get another instance instead. CRP is freeware, Windows only, requires .NET 2.0.

MultiFireFox 2.0 (OS X Only)

Given the fact that lots of folks are downloading FireFox 3 as of late, I thought this might be a good time to highlight MultiFireFox 2.0. MultiFireFox 2.0 lets you run up to 5 versions of FireFox side by side.

Why would you want to do this? If you’re a web developer you probably want to check your work in FireFox 2 as well as 3. MultiFireFox also lets those of you who don’t want to jump into the new version of FireFox get your feet wet with the new hotness (or should that be the ‘new wetness?’), but keep FF2 close at hand.

MultiFireFox 2 is free, so you can’t beat the price and runs on OS X 10.4 and above.
