Hehe… Digg does it once again, i new WordPress would have a heart attach trying to handle a massive amount of digg hits, but in my wildest imagination i wouldnt of figured that this many people would of clicked on that link.

Before the server finally gave up the ghost and the database server stopped talking to apache, the last site stats i recieved and still have access to untill tonight read that over 3000 people had hit that page between the hours of 4am and 9:30am GMT… Now thats a result, theres gonna be millions of alex sound effects roaming the streets today lol.

Right, first of all, im gonna say ‘Sorry’ to Dave, my hosting manager who woke up this morning to a shit storm of errors and a dead web server sittin in the rack, lol ! awsom result, but kinda scary lol.

Secondly, i think its time to start researching better ways to deal with massive server hits like this one, though in future it may be a case of just making sure that my digg stories are hosted somewhere away from the immediate line of fire lol.
