Okay then people, Steve Jobs has done his “iv made some new stuff” speech again. In todays live conference we received the nice news that a new generation of iMacs have finally hit the shelves (as pictured here), dropping the old 17″ and updating the specs on the 20″ & 24″ to include some very nice additions.
Personally I’m agreeing with Steve that the brushed metal finish makes the new Macs look awsom, much more professional and i know several people who are gonna be loving the new glass screen (the amount of time this is gonna save while cleaning lol).
That being the best part of the news, gotta say im not as enthusiastic about the new keyboards, i mean congrats to Apple for making them even smaller and thinner, but one of the reason i brought a Mac Pro over the MacBook was that weird nasty flat keyboard thing, and now it looks like they’ve just run a load of the MacBook keyboards off the production line on brushed metal and glued a USB cable to the back end lol ! Ill reserve final judgment till i see one and have a play though, ill be visiting the local Apple Store as soon as an opportunity arises
Right, in other revelations, new iLife, iWork and .Mac versions hit the market, bringing new versions of iPhoto, GarageBand and iMovie, which look very impressive at first glance, but what im more interested in is the new version of KeyNote. I like many other people was, at some point in the very recent past an avid user of Microsoft PowerPoint for all my presentations, then my eyes opened to the wonders of KeyNote and its powers of wonder of your audience. Looking forward to trying the 30 day demo (as soon as this dam download finishes).
Also some other good news follows in the area of the Mini Macs, which were rumored to be on the chopping block, well rumors were wrong, two new shiny models are out and ready to be purchased right NOW… Very happy to hear this, although i currently only own one Mini Mac, and its used as my Media Center(Running Microsoft Windows Media Center 2005, don’t hate me), in the future i have great plans for these wonderful little machines, as they make awsom media centers, fantastic small scale servers and a host of other functions you cant find a better machine for under £400 for (well except for dell, but im not too convinced by their black boxes).
Anyways people, check out the new goodies at the Apple Store and for gods sake, BUY SUMMUT ! everyone needs a mac in their home, if for no other reason than safari can hide your porn browsing ![]()
