Its arrived, all hail the Adaptec ARR 2610SA Hardware RAID card… the futures bright, the futures got 2.5 TeraBytes of RAID-5 goodness in it, Just for those unaware of what that means… lets break this down.

1024 Bytes = 1 MegaBye

1024 MegaByte = 1 GigaByte

1024 GigaByte = 1 TeraByte

So… yea, thats a lot, and i mean a lot of wonderful wonderful storage. Lets do some more maths, check this out. The average song downloaded from iTunes is around 3Mb in size, SO this card lets me store 853, 333 songs…. How fecking awsom is that. Now lets do it for the other media, say a film is 700Mb, that means 3657 films. Oh my god, im sorry if this seems wierd, but im in love with this piece electronic equipment !
